Doctor Who: Ood Amigurumi
I’m most productive under pressure and this has been in a just-in-time birthday gift. I finished little Doctor Who (Amazon link) character »Ood« 30 minutes before the party started while waiting at the DEZ shopping center in Regensburg for hubby to pick me up. I took the photos with my mobile phone at the shopping center, too. (^_^)#
I’ve been using a smaller hook for doing the tentacle: 4.0 mm instead of 5.0 mm. Other than in the pattern my Ood has got four instead of three tentacle. I wasn’t quite sure about the row in which to place the safety eyes. I’ve put them into Row 12 and left 8 stitches between them. The ball is an add-on which isn’t part of the pattern. It’s just a simple ball with the yarn end attached to little Ood.

- Woll Butt Lisa in Beige, Terra (Orange), Schwarz (Black) and Weiß (White)
- 1 pair of 8 mm safety eyes (Amazon link)

Final Fantasy: Tonberry Amigurumi
I always loved the cute looking Tonberry’s in the Final Fantasy series (Amazon link). Next to their cuteness factor they do usually give you a nice bunch of EXP points when defeating them. There are some nice patterns available on ravelry and looking through the projects made by using those patterns I liked the one written by ArtisticGaming best.
I forgot to order dark brown yarn for doing the feet as well as to have a contrast color for doing the lantern. But he’s looking fine with black feet, too as well as with the lantern body made of the same light brown that I used for the coat.

The Minions: Bob’s Teddy Tim Amigurumi
Do you know Bob’s adorable teddy bear »Tim«? Love on first sight! So I just had to do a Minions (Amazon link) crochet teddy. I’ve needed something small to add to a bunch of Oreo chocolates which I made for a friend’s birthday. But at the end I really had a hard time to let this cute little fellow go.

Material used:
- Woll Butt Lisa in Schoko (Brown)

I’ve made a little tail, too doing a magic ring with 4 sc in the first round, followed by a round of 1 sc, (2 sc), 1 sc, (2 sc) and a last round with 6 sc and a sl to fasten off.
John Watson Amigurumi
»My dear Watson …« – There will never ever be a Sherlock (Amazon link) without his loyal companion John Watson. Best yarn buddies forever! I knew had to do a little Watson for my dad after I made little Sherlock for him for Christmas. So this is John Watson, birthday gift and already standing next to Sherlock on my parents shelf.
Vilma Ilona’s hair tutorial is a great help when working the hair for your Watson Amigurumi. When you start doing it on your own without seeing any progress this photo tutorial for doing Watson’s hair will simply blow your mind.

Cute bonnet style Adeline hat
I absolutely love cute stuff but being an adult makes it a bit tricky as quickly your look turns out to be more childish instead of cute. When browsing on ravelry I’ve been stumbling over the adorable »Adeline Hat« – a crochet bonnet looking like an oversized child hat but with an elegant touch making it look simply cute and not embarrassing.
I didn’t want to have the bow sewn onto the crochet bonnet as I’m not sure if it will stay in form after taking a ride in the washing machine. That’s why I put a brooch needle on the back side to be able to detach it.

Material used:
- Woll Butt Primo Emily Color in Ocker
- Woll Butt Lisa in Lila (Purple) and Weiß (White)
- 1 wooden button
- 1 brooch needle
Final Fantasy: Moogle Amigurumi
»Kupo! Kupo!« – My Moogle Amigurumi is finally done! The crochet part was quick and easy and I finished it in just two evenings. Except for the wings which I made without using any pattern. As I’ve made notes while creating my wings I was able to write a pattern for them.
I spend most of the time working on the red bauble and the face. The red bauble is attached to little Moogle’s head by using a wire. You just need to be super carefully while working with the wire. If you bend it a bit too much or too often it will break and you are going to have two parts of wire in your hands. Just keep in mind that your wire is a bit like raw eggs even when your Moogle Amigurumi is finished.

Sherlock Holmes Amigurumi
I’d like to introduce »Benedict Cumberstitch« as Sherlock (Amazon link). ♡ If he wouldn’t have stayed in the family, I would have kept him. Compared to the other Christmas gifts I’ve made for 2015 my Sherlock Amigurumi really took some time and he’s my absolute favorite.
While working on this you start to wonder if Sherlock is just made of hair! Without a hair cut he looks like a brunette version of Merida from Disney’s Brave (Amazon link). Without any hair and coat he looks like Star Trek TNG Jean-Luc Picard (Amazon link). Or as hubby said, he looks like Harry Potter’s nemesis Voldemort (Amazon link). Photos of bald Sherlock can be found on my ravelry project page.
Without any hair I measured my Sherlock to be 23 cm in height.
