Zoidberg Egg Cozy

Wub Wub Wub!

Another pattern based on my Cthulhu Egg Cozy pattern. It was obvious to do a little Zoidberg, too after I finished the Ood version of it. Big Futurama (Amazon link) fan here! Zoidberg has got his white smock with the light blue shirt under it and a pair of funny claws.

This pattern is for private use only. You are not allowed to sell this pattern or items made by using it.

Material

The egg cozy made by using the materials listed below will fit an egg up to size XL.

  • Yarn in aran weight. I‘ve been using Gründl King Cotton (Amazon link) in red color »Weinrot« and white color »Weiß«. For the light blue triangle on the body I’ve been using myboshi No. 2 (Amazon link) in »Meerblau«.
  • Hook 5.5 mm
  • Stitch marker as for the body you are working in continuous rounds
  • Yarn needle for weaving in ends and assembly
  • Felt in white for doing the eyes
  • Embroidery floss in black for doing the pupils
  • Sewing thread in white or fabric glue (Amazon link) instead
  • Sewing needle to sew on the pupils and the eyes

Two felt circles will be the eyes

Stitched on the pupils using extra strong sewing thread as I ran out of embroidery floss

Instead of the eyes made of black buttons you will have to either sew or glue the white felt circles to the face after you’ve stitched on the pupils with black embroidery floss.

One arm and one not yet finished sleeve

Form a tube and close it by sewing the long sides together. Leave loose ends for sewing the sleeve to the body. Sew on the arms first, then pull the sleeves over the arms and sew them to the body, too.

Ready to sew the sleeve around one arm

Attaching the sleeve

I saved stitching on the eyes for last
