Star Wars: Yoda Amigurumi
For »Secret Santa« at our Christmas party at work I’ve got the name of the colleague that I’ve already had for last years Secret Santa. Star Wars fan – a piece of cake! I thought it would be the perfect excuse for finally buying the gorgeous Star Wars Crochet Kit (Amazon link) by Lucy Collin but it was sold out everywhere! So I needed to create my own Yoda
Pattern source: none – made by myself without taking notes -_-#
Material used:
- Woll Butt Lisa in Grün (Green), Beige and Schoko (Brown)
- 1 pair of 9 mm safety eyes (Amazon link)
- Fibre fill (Amazon link)
I’ve been using a 4.5 mm hook. Yoda’s head, body, ears and arms are simply made by doing sc stitches. The feet are made by using sc, hdc and dc stitches. I mixed up sc, hdc, dc and trc when doing the coat especially for shaping the hood. The belt is simply made by doing chains.
I really had to fight doing the coat. I wanted to make it real so you could undress Yoda. After working on his tiny coat for days with killing a lot of yarn I finally decided to keep it simple and sew the arms right onto the coat. The front part of the coat is sewn partly onto the body to make it fit better. At the end I’m quite happy with the result anyway. And my colleague is happy with his new woolly room mate, too. 🙂
I’ve got a Stormtrooper Candy Bowl Holder (Amazon link) from my Secret Santa. So the night has been full of Star Wars! ♡
